SUMMARY:Day of Immunology 2025
DESCRIPTION:IUIS and EFIS invite all international societies to join us this year to honor the Day of Immunology on April 29. This year’s topic is “Brain and Immunity: Immunological Insights into Neurological Disorders.”\nToday it has become clear that there is a strong interaction between the immune system and the brain. The immune system triggers neurological disease but at the same time helps to cure the disease. On the Day of Immunology 2025, we will explore the functional role of the nervous system in immunity and also discuss the immunological mechanisms and treatment options for rapidly increasing non-communicable neurological diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer disease. Environmental factors ranging from infections to the gut microbiota may have substantial impact on both disease and cure.\n2025 Day of Immunology Webinar\nMark your calendars for an insightful webinar on the Day of Immunology, April 29, 2025, 15:00 – 18:00 CEST  and join us for an in-depth exploration of how the immune system shapes brain function and contributes to neurological disorders. This webinar will bring together experts to discuss the latest research on immune mechanisms. Discover cutting-edge insights into the neuroimmune interface and its implications for diagnosis and treatment.\nRegister here ( https://immunohub.iuis.org/iuis/2024/webinars/4152027 ), and stay tuned for the full program details and speaker lineup!\n2025 Day of Immunology Awards\nIn addition to the webinar, we once again call for campaigns to raise awareness on the critical topic of neuroimmunology. Your participation is the key to spreading knowledge and fostering health practices.\nYou can find more information about how to implement the campaigns and apply for the Day of Immunology Awards here.\nSimilar to last year, we will have Day of Immunology European Award and Day of Immunology International Award. Each award will honor three societies who run most outstanding awareness campaigns. The awards will be as follows:\n– Day of Immunology European Award, by EFIS: EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000, and EUR 1,000 to the first, second and third most impactful campaigns\n– Day of Immunology International Award, by IUIS: EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000, and EUR 1,000 to the first, second and third most impactful campaigns\nMake sure to designate a person among your staff or members to be the “Ambassador” for the campaign that you will develop and implement. Your Ambassador should contact IUIS by sending an email to info@iuis.org ( mailto:info@iuis.org ) and letting IUIS know that they will be the contact person for all information regarding your campaign.\nDesign a campaign and implement it to take place on or around the Day of Immunology, April 29\nAfter your campaign is complete: Submit a report, which should include what you did, an estimate of how many people you reached, and what were some of the major results. Make sure to include some pictures of your campaign along the final report. Submit the detailed report to info@iuis.org ( mailto:info@iuis.org ).\nPlease note that the deadline for submitting the final report on your campaigns is May 29, 2025. The winners will be announced in early July.\nSpread the Word:\nShare your message about the Day of Immunology using #Dayof Immunology and #NeuroImmunology on social media using the resources provided in our media kit below.
